  • Endometrial cells transport

  • Immune system disorder

  • Surgical scar implantation

Infertility and ovarian cancer are the most threatening after effects of this condition. The treatment is finalised according to the severity of the condition. Usually in most cases, doctors choose conservative treatment approaches in the primary stages. Surgery will be a last resort. Pain medication are given in order to reduce the pain caused by the condition. If pain relievers cannot reduce the pain, the doctor may suggest other approaches such as hormone therapy. However, hormone therapies cannot be a permanent cure for endometriosis. Hormonal contraceptives and other drugs are used for hormone therapies.

If the patient wishes to get pregnant, the doctor may opt for surgeries to remove the endometriosis. Hysterectomy is one of the final stage solution for endometriosis. Hysterectomy is meant to remove the cervix, uterus and both the ovaries.
